The Sports Authority is the nation's preeminent full- line sporting goods chain with 419 stores including 31 in Texas. Southpark Meadows will be home to The Sports Authority's fourth store in Austin. The Sports Authority will construct their very latest store prototype for Southpark Meadows and will offer comprehensive lines of the best known brands including: Nike, Bowflex, Under Armour, The North Face, Easton, Callaway Golf, Adidas, Coleman, Columbia, New Balance and more. Bath & Body Works is a division of Limited Brands, Inc. and has more than 1,600 stores nationwide. Bath & Body Works describes their store as a 21st century apothecary integrating health, beauty and well- being. Fragrant flavorful indulgences, including shower gels, lotions, candles and accessories combined with spa products and easy-to-use personal care products can all be found within their future store at Southpark Meadows.
Construction has begun on both of Southpark Meadows' housing developments located on the 425- acre site. In late April, Lennar will begin construction on The Reserve at Southpark Meadows. Lennar is on schedule to build approximately 330 single family homes with estimated price points between $280,000 and $350,000. The home sites will be located on the southeast corner of Slaughter Lane and South First Street with the first model homes being completed in December of 2007. Fairfield Properties has broken ground on its planned 700 multi-family units located off South First Street (south of the Lennar tract) in late April. The first phase will consist of 456 units.
